The "Air Defense Power 1403" maneuvers led by the Iranian Army's Air Defense Force began at dawn today, Sunday, in the air defense areas in the west and north.
Tasnim International News Agency reported that the "Air Defense Power 1403" maneuvers led by the Iranian Army's Air Defense Force began at dawn today, in the air defense areas in the west and north.
These maneuvers are being conducted in completely realistic conditions, and include the participation of missile units, radar systems, and surveillance within the "Basirat" plan, electronic warfare units, the "Fasha" system, and air defense camouflage and deception systems, in addition to manned and unmanned aircraft of the Air Force, to carry out offensive and defensive missions.
It explained that the main objectives of these maneuvers are to realistically evaluate the effectiveness of the defensive operations of air defense plans in the face of enemy attacks, ensure information supervision and achieve the ability to detect attacking targets in a timely manner using various types of active radar sensors, passive signal eavesdropping, optical and surveillance devices available to the national air defense, and evaluate the tactical and technical performance of operational personnel and technicians in real air combat conditions, in addition to training on implementing the principles of passive defense of air defense systems with an emphasis on the principle of rapid movement.
In these maneuvers, the air defense force of the army operates using its available combat formations to protect important and sensitive areas under its responsibility and centers assigned to its tasks against simulated air and missile attacks, through the stages of detection, identification, tracking, engagement, and destruction of the virtual enemy, under the command of the country's unified air defense network, where the enemy's offensive operations are repelled in the areas of Fordo and Khandab.
