Sana'a - Saba:
The Ministry of Electricity, Energy and Water on Monday celebrated Friday of Rajab on the anniversary of the Yemenis' conversion to Islam and the establishment of the faith identity, with a speech event.
During the event, Minister of Electricity, Energy and Water Dr. Ali Saif stressed the importance of celebrating the Eid of Rajab Friday, the anniversary of the Yemeni people's entry into Islam in droves with a message from the Messenger of Humanity, Mohammed, may Allah bless him and his supporters and grant them peace, without fighting or war, at the hands of Imam Ali, peace be upon him.
He said this important historical event requires everyone to raise awareness and correct the path, indicating that the entry of the Yemeni people into Islam on the first Friday of Rajab is one of the best blessings of Allah upon them.
Minister Saif said: "We take this day as a holiday to express our gratitude and thanks to Allah Almighty for the blessing of Islam, and we celebrate it in various manifestations in order to strengthen our faith identity and emphasize our connection to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and to Islamic values, including supporting the oppressed."
He stated that this event reflects the faith-based spirit rooted in the Yemeni people, who have always been a shining example in supporting the Islamic message, noting that commemorating this anniversary is not limited to remembering a historical event only, but rather represents a renewed call to deepen the faith identity that forms the basis for building the individual and society and a pillar of steadfastness in the face of intellectual and cultural challenges.
Minister Ali Saif urged the Ministry’s staff to adhere to and preserve the faith identity, take pride in the authentic Yemeni faith heritage, Koranic values and culture, confront the enemies’ conspiracies that target the homeland and its identity, and consolidate Islamic values.
He added, "The faith identity is a medal that the people of Yemen have risen to the heights with, and they have become leaders and defenders of Allah's religion and the oppressed, which was evident today in the Yemeni people's support for the injustice of Gaza and their support for the Palestinian people and cause against the Zionist entity supported by America and Europe."
The Minister of Electricity and Water addressed the deliberate targeting of the electricity sector by the Zionist American British enemy, in a message to harm the interests of the Yemenis, stressing that Yemen will continue to support Gaza no matter the sacrifices, based on the faith identity and the religious, moral and humanitarian duty placed on its shoulders.
In the event attended by Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy and Water Adel Bader, Sheikh Saleh al-Khawlani, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, explained that commemorating the Eid of Rajab Friday embodies the Yemenis' connection to their religion and faith identity.
Rajab Friday was considered an occasion in which the values of truth, sacrifice and giving are manifested, and a medal bestowed by the Messenger of Allah on the people of Yemen, describing them as the most tender-hearted and softest-hearted in Yemeni faith and Yemeni wisdom, explaining that the Yemenis are the first incubator of Islam and Muslims since the dawn of the Islamic call.
He stated that the Yemeni people's celebration of this anniversary embodies steadfastness, glory and pride of Yemen and pride in the authentic spirit of faith, especially in light of the Zionist, American and British aggression that the country is exposed to, targeting dignitaries, civil facilities, cadres, children and women.
Sheikh al-Khawlani said the forces of global hegemony and arrogance led by America, Britain and Israel only know the language of force and deterrence, which was evident in the Yemeni position opposing the American and Zionist project and tyranny in the region and the world.
He spoke about the implications of the faith identity embodied in values, morals, principles, steadfastness, perseverance, challenge, victory for the weak and relief for the oppressed, noting that Yemenis today are triumphing for the faith identity by standing with Gaza and all of Palestine and their victory for the central and first cause of the nation.
The member of the Yemeni Scholars Association pointed out that what the nation is exposed to today of attempts to target religion and faith identity by its enemies, stressing that standing in the face of the forces of tyranny and arrogance is a manifestation of faith and commitment to the faith identity based on the Almighty's saying "Humble towards the believers, mighty against the disbelievers."
