Oslo - Saba:
The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) Philippe Lazzarini confirmed Wednesday that the agency will continue to provide assistance to the residents of the Palestinian territories despite the Zionist ban on it, which will come into effect at the end of this January.
Lazzarini said during an international meeting dedicated to the Middle East in Oslo, "We will remain and carry out our mission," stressing that local UNRWA employees will remain and continue to provide urgent assistance, and when possible provide education and basic health care.
It is worth noting that on October 28, 2024, the Zionist Knesset finally approved the ban on UNRWA activities in the occupied Palestinian territories, and the decision will come into effect at the end of this January.
