The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expected cold to very cold weather in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.
The center reported in its weather bulletin that the weather is expected to be cold to very cold during the night and early morning in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar and Al Bayda.
The weather is likely to be relatively cold to cold in the highlands of the governorates of Ibb, Taiz, Al Dhale'e, Lahj and southern Marib, western Al Jawf and the deserts and plateaus of Hadhramaut and Shabwa.
The center indicated that the lowest temperatures recorded in some meteorological monitoring stations this morning were as follows: Thi Na'im - Al Bayda: 1.2, Amran: 2.8, Sana'a: 3, Dhamar: 3, Ibb: 7.5, Sayoun: 8.1 degrees Celsius.
Citizens in the highlands and interior plateaus, especially the elderly, children, patients and workers at night and early morning, were warned of the cold and extremely cold weather. The center urged farmers to take the necessary precautions against the effects of the extreme cold.
