Singapore - Saba:
The US dollar fell at the beginning of the week's trading, with the return of President-elect Donald Trump to the White House, while investors focus on his inauguration speech today.

The dollar index, which measures the performance of the US currency against six major currencies, fell 0.16 percent to reach 109.16, remaining close to its highest level in 26 months at 110.17 recorded last week,
while the euro rose 0.26 percent to reach $1.029775, but remained close to its lowest level in two years it touched last week due to the threat of imposing customs duties, and the pound sterling rose 0.27 percent to $1.2201.
The yen was last steady at 156.18 per dollar, not far from a one-month high of 154.98 hit on Friday.

The currency has gained 80 percent since the start of the U.S. election in early November, hitting a record high in December.
