[21/ January/2025]
Tehran-Saba:
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharib Abadi said that we are holding consultations on a new round of sanctions lifting negotiations.

Tasnim International News Agency reported that after the end of the "Conference to Commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Ratification of the Four Geneva Conventions", and during his statements to journalists, Kazem Gharib Abadi referred to the negotiations between Iran and Europe.. stressing that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready, as before, to resume sanctions lifting negotiations.

He added: "We have always been ready for these negotiations, and if the other parties show their readiness, we believe in the possibility of holding negotiations and reaching results."

He stressed that Iran will determine its strategy according to the approach of other parties, explaining that if those parties adopt a different policy and approach, Tehran will adapt its policies accordingly.

The Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs stressed that there are suitable opportunities for dialogue and understanding, noting that the Iranian nuclear program has always been peaceful, and that unilateral and illegal sanctions have not achieved their goals.

He continued by saying: "We do not deny that sanctions affect people, whether in Iran or in any other country, but the real goal of those imposing sanctions is to bring about changes within the targeted countries, which they have not succeeded in achieving so far."

He also stressed that "the most rational solution is to start negotiations to lift sanctions, as it is the correct and logical path."

Regarding the date of the new round of negotiations between Iran and Europe, Abadi explained: "We have agreed to continue the dialogue, and we will determine its date through the consultations we are currently conducting."
