The Zionist entity was defeated in the true sense of the word before the resistance front, speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly said on Wednesday.
"The ceasefire that took place in Gaza was a great event.. In 1964, Imam Khomeini said that every problem in the country and with the Shah is that the Shah's regime is a toy in the hands of the Zionist entity and America.. These are our main enemies," Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf added in a speech carried by Mehr News Agency.
"This is the basis of our struggle against the Pahlavi regime.. The late Imam continued this issue in the same way.. After the victory of the revolution, the Imam declared the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as Al-Quds Day and said: The issue of Palestine is the issue of the entire Islamic world.. because there is a great injustice that has been done to Muslims, and the Imam raised this issue outside Iran and called on all Muslims to work to achieve it."
"Today, after several decades, the Imam is no longer among us, but the issue of Palestine has become a global issue for humanity, and the crimes of the Zionist entity and America have made people take to the streets in all cities and universities.. Everyone who had an ounce of humanity stood against the crimes of the Zionist entity."

The Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly concluded his speech by saying: "Let us thank the late Imam and his successor, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, who left us such a school of thought. The presence of the people is the solution, not the problem. Sometimes we act as if the people are our problem. We are the ones who must correctly recognize the presence of the people. We have experienced that none of the country's issues and problems can be solved except with the presence of the people."
