Geneva - Saba:

Swiss public prosecutors have said they are examining several complaints filed against the head of the Zionist enemy entity, Isaac Herzog, as media reports indicated that non-governmental organizations accuse him of "incitement to genocide" in Gaza.

The Swiss Attorney General's Office confirmed that it received "several criminal complaints" against Herzog, who visited Switzerland this week to participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos.

"The criminal complaints are currently being examined in accordance with the usual procedures," the office said in an email to AFP, adding that it was in contact with the Swiss foreign ministry to examine "the question of immunity of the person concerned."

The attorney general did not provide any specific details about the complaints filed.

The Swiss news agency Keystone-ATS reported that one of the complaints came from a non-governmental organization called Legal Action Against Genocide.

The organization is demanding that Herzog be tried "for incitement to commit genocide and crimes against humanity," the agency added.

The complaint said Herzog played "an active role in providing ideological justifications for genocide and war crimes in Gaza, by erasing all distinction between civilians and combatants."
