Return of displaced to Gaza thwarts forced displacement plans
[27/ January/2025]

Sana'a - Saba:

After the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip thwarted the Zionist enemy's plans for forced displacement, with enormous sacrifices that mixed the blood of tens of thousands of martyrs and wounded with the soil of the land they love, US President Donald Trump came to re-propose the project without a clear vision, ignoring the Palestinians' insistence on rooting themselves in their land, which they refuse to leave no matter the sacrifices.

For more than 15 months, the Zionist enemy sought to empty the Gaza and North governorates through dozens of displacement orders and bloody raids, but hundreds of thousands insisted on staying and faced death and hunger and thwarted the displacement plan. Over the years, Gaza has shown unparalleled steadfastness in the face of the Zionist attacks, as the Palestinians remain steadfast in their land, despite the blood and sacrifices they have paid.

With a mixture of tears, joy, ululations and chants of Allahu Akbar, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians began returning to the north of Wadi Gaza today, Monday, for the first time in 15 months of forced displacement and suffering that affected every aspect of their lives, to break the will of the occupier and thwart the forced displacement plans.

The displaced Palestinians returned to the north of Wadi Gaza, carrying with them feelings of hope and determination to rebuild their city that was destroyed by the enemy, bearing their wounds and great loss, as each of them lost his home or a member of his family, but their will is not broken and their compass does not deviate from steadfastness on the land and confronting the occupier.

The return came after three days of Zionist obstruction before understandings were reached that enabled this historic moment to be reached, so hundreds of children, women, elderly and young people, most of whom had gathered over the past few days, began to return to their residential areas and lands that were destroyed by the occupation.

Amidst tears and joy, and amidst the ruins of memories, this return lights a new flame of determination to thwart all plans for forced displacement, the latest of which was announced by US President Donald Trump... declaring their adherence to their historical rights to the land.

The Palestinian Media Center reported that hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians gathered in the open along Salah al-Din and al-Rashid streets north of Nusairat for three consecutive days, defying all the difficulties and fears that the long months of displacement brought.

It stressed that the scene of families walking through the destroyed roads, carrying what remained of their belongings, reflected a strong determination to return, despite the harsh reality imposed by the recent war.

The return of the displaced to the north of Wadi Gaza was not just a restoration of the place, but an embodiment of the meanings of insistence on life and clinging to the land.

In a touching scene, children were seen carrying displacement bags on their tired shoulders, running towards the remains and ruins of their homes, preparing to rewrite new stories of life on a land that used to be a place for memories.

The return of the displaced Palestinians, despite all attempts at displacement and expulsion, confirms that they are clinging to their land and their right to live in dignity.. and that this step is not the end, but rather the beginning of a new journey of steadfastness and construction.

The spokesman for the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, Abdul Latif Al-Qanou, stressed that the scenes of the return of the masses of the Palestinian people from the south of the Gaza Strip to its north represent another failure of the occupying entity in achieving the goals of the war of extermination and destruction and a message of defiance to any new attempt to displace them.

Al-Qanou said in a statement: "The steadfastness of our people on their land and their return from the south of the Gaza Strip to its north represents the end of the Zionist dream of displacing them and liquidating their just cause." He stressed that the historical epic that Gaza wrote and its great sacrifices require the world to do justice to the Palestinian people by achieving their legitimate rights and ending the occupation that is squatting on their land.
Despite the joy of return, the displaced face major challenges related to rebuilding their homes and providing basic services such as water and electricity, and the restoration of the region's infrastructure requires significant local and international support. However, determination and persistence seem stronger than all obstacles.

In this context, the Follow-up Committee of National and Islamic Forces said in a statement: "The displacement plans have fallen today, and the moment of the great return is approaching, after the return of hundreds of thousands of our people to the northern Gaza Strip, after 15 months of genocide."

It added: "In majestic and historic scenes, we are living one of the greatest chapters of our Palestinian cause, and you are defeating the projects of Nazi Zionism, which planned to displace you and empty our beloved Strip, through killing, starvation and genocide, but your steadfastness and perseverance were an obstacle to the success of all the occupation's plans."

It continued: "History will write this day in the pages of glory of our Palestinian cause, and January 27, 2025 will remain a national, Arab, and Islamic day, in which the Palestinian will triumphed over the entire Western colonial system, and strongly restored to our people the hopes of the great return upon the liberation of all of Palestine and the expulsion of the occupier from it, and this is a certainty that will soon be achieved by our people, their forces, and their national and Islamic components."

The Committee stressed that all displacement plans have failed, and the enemy has returned dragging its tails of disappointment and loss, and the Palestinian people will also be able to thwart the displacement plan announced by Trump, the President of the United States, the sponsor of the terrorist entity.

The Committee thanked Egypt and Jordan for their absolute rejection of Trump's plans aimed at voluntarily displacing the Palestinian people, and called on them to consolidate and consolidate these positions in order to strengthen the steadfastness of our people in their land.

It said: "We will do our utmost to receive our returning people, embrace them, and provide them with the necessary relief and shelter, and we call on all the living components of our people to exert all their energies in this regard."

It concluded by saying: We will continue to adhere to the covenant until the goals, hopes, ambitions, and aspirations of our people are achieved for liberation, return, independence, self-determination, and the establishment of the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

In turn, the Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative Movement, Mustafa Barghouti, confirmed in a press statement today that the people of Gaza have thwarted the most dangerous conspiracy they have been subjected to in terms of displacement and ethnic cleansing. He said: The return of the people of the Strip today to their towns in the northern part of the Strip heralds a return to historical Palestine and gives hope to the Palestinian refugees who were displaced in 1948.

Barghouti saluted the people of Gaza, especially in the northern part of the Strip, who have stood firm and confronted the Israeli war machine for many months.

He described the people of the Strip as the Palestinian phoenix that cannot be destroyed by killing and bombing, and rises from destruction, and that the scenes reflect the reality of the Palestinian people.

Thousands of displaced Palestinians returning to Gaza City arrived via the Shuhada-Return (Netzarim) axis on Rashid Street on Monday morning, heading towards Gaza City for the first time in more than 15 months, in a historic scene that embodied the will to persevere and the Palestinian adherence to his land.

This return, which came in accordance with the ceasefire agreement, is not just a step towards restoring homes and properties, but rather a message of steadfastness in the face of all attempts at forced displacement that the occupation tried to impose with dozens of decisions and hundreds of massacres.

Elements of the Qassam Brigades were deployed at several points on the road amidst a great welcome from the returning citizens. Over the past three days, hundreds of thousands gathered on Rashid and Salah al-Din streets opposite the Netzarim axis amidst an atmosphere of anxiety and anticipation, awaiting the return after the Israeli occupation obstructed them under the pretext of not handing over the prisoner Harbel Yehud.
The Director General of the Media Office in Gaza, Ismail Thawabta, says: More than 5,500 government employees are currently working to facilitate the return of the displaced from the southern and central governorates to the Gaza and northern governorates, from all government agencies, ministries and institutions.

At dawn today, Hamas announced that an agreement had been reached through the efforts of mediators on the return of the displaced to the north of Wadi Gaza, starting this morning, January 27, 2025.

Hamas said in a statement: "Within the framework of the movement's efforts to remove the pretexts that Netanyahu put in place to prevent the return of the displaced to the north of the Strip, and to resolve the issue of the prisoner held by the resistance, Arbil Yehud, Hamas presented a proposal to the mediators to conduct an additional exchange process that includes the prisoner Arbil Yehud with two other prisoners of the occupation before next Friday, and that the exchange process scheduled for next Saturday remain as it is on its date and includes three prisoners of the occupation." It confirmed that based on this, the movement and the efforts of the mediators reached the return of the displaced.

At a time when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were waiting to return to the northern Gaza Strip, in a practical failure of the plan to displace them that the Zionist enemy announced at the beginning of the war of extermination, Trump made statements in which he spoke about the possibility of transferring more than a million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to neighboring countries.

At the beginning of the war of extermination on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, Zionist officials proposed a plan to forcibly displace Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to Sinai, and they sought to do so by directing hundreds of thousands to move to Rafah amidst bombing and starvation, but the Palestinians continued to resist, while Egypt expressed absolute rejection of the Zionist plans.

Trump's statements are consistent with the old Zionist plans that aim to empty Gaza of its Palestinian population, within the framework of the largest inhumane forced displacement operation that aims to eliminate their presence on their land.

Experts believe that these statements come at a sensitive time, a week after the ceasefire began amidst solvable stumbling blocks to implementing the step of returning the displaced to their places of residence, at a time when the Strip is suffering from massive destruction due to the devastating Zionist war that destroyed more than 70 percent of the Strip's buildings.

The various official and popular Palestinian components have always expressed their rejection of forced displacement plans, whatever the cost, amidst a consensus that what Trump is proposing is merely a repetition of previous Zionist attempts aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause.

Despite the displacement attempts that are proposed from time to time, the Palestinians insist on steadfastness and rooting themselves in the land and continuing the path of resistance in order to preserve their existence on their land.. stressing that their national rights cannot be negotiated or relinquished.
