Brussels - Saba:
Last night, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted a proposal calling for an immediate end to the humanitarian crisis related to children, women and prisoners in the Gaza Strip, resulting from the genocide committed by the Zionist enemy for more than 15 months.
According to what was reported by the Palestinian Information Center, the proposal, which called for "an immediate end to the humanitarian crisis related to children, women and prisoners in Gaza", was discussed in the General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
In the vote that was held, the proposal was approved by a majority of 90 votes, against 18 votes, while 14 deputies abstained from voting.
The proposal stated that the attacks launched by the occupation army on the Gaza Strip caused an "unimaginable" humanitarian crisis, and that "among those who died over more than a year were medical and humanitarian aid workers."
He stressed the need to protect civilians and meet their basic needs, calling for opening many roads for humanitarian aid to reach the region. He stressed the need for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to be able to continue its duty in the region.
