Occupied Al-Quds - Saba:

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced today that it was forced to transfer its employees from Jerusalem after the Zionist enemy decided to close its offices in the city.

According to UNRWA's official website, "the decision stipulates that UNRWA is prohibited from operating offices, providing services, or carrying out any activities directly or indirectly within the territories controlled by the Zionist enemy."

Yesterday, Wednesday, the Israeli Supreme Court rejected a "petition request" submitted by human rights groups to obtain a temporary order to postpone the implementation of decisions that limit UNRWA's operations in the occupied territories.

Two human rights groups, Adalah and Gisha, confirmed that these "laws violate basic human rights and Israel's duties as the occupying power," warning of dire humanitarian consequences.

The Israeli occupation's decision to ban UNRWA is scheduled to come into effect today, Thursday.

The decision includes closing all the agency's headquarters and stopping its activities, which deprives more than 100,000 Palestinians from receiving education and health services and threatens millions of others in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as UNRWA confirmed that the Israeli decision harms the Palestinians, while the United Nations called on Israel to reverse its decision.

It is noteworthy that the occupation's ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, informed the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, that the agency must stop all its activities in the occupied city of Jerusalem and evacuate its buildings by Thursday.
