Berlin-Saba:
German Professor Hans Bernhard Wolf revealed that the United States has benefited more from the decline in the competitiveness of the German economy, which is now forced to buy American gas.
The Russian news agency "Novosti" quoted Wolf as saying in his report, which he presented at the St. Petersburg Humanitarian University for Trade Unions: "The main beneficiary of the decline in Germany's competitiveness is the United States, which does not face a similar rise in the prices of raw materials and energy, and its products have become more competitive compared to German goods. The irony is that Germany has been forced to buy expensive and polluting American gas."
He added that Russian gas and oil still reach Germany through circuitous routes, but at higher prices. He pointed out that German companies in such circumstances reduce jobs, move abroad, or go bankrupt.
