Russia: Kiev forces target school, commit war crime in Kursk
[02/ February/2025]

Moscow - Saba:

The Kiev regime forces committed a new war crime on February 1 by firing a guided missile at a boarding school in the city of Sudzha in the Kursk region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday, noting that this provocation was aimed at diverting attention from the atrocities committed by Ukrainian forces in the town of Russkoye Borychnoye in the region.

Sputnik quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: "On February 1, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a targeted missile strike on a boarding school in the city of Sudzha. Russian air defense systems detected the launch of missiles from the Sumy region in Ukraine. This provocation is aimed at diverting the attention of world public opinion from the atrocities committed by the Kiev regime in the village of Russkoye Borychnoye in the Kursk region."

"The strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on a civilian facility once again demonstrated the terrorist and inhuman nature of those in power in Kyiv," the statement added.

Earlier, the spokeswoman for the Russian Investigative Committee, Svetlana Petrenko, said five Ukrainian servicemen were involved in the murders and rapes of Russian citizens in the village of Russkoye Porechnoye in the Kursk region.

"The investigation has established that Fabricenko and other Ukrainian servicemen attacked the Kursk region in September 2024. During the fighting in the Sudzhansky district, Fabricenko was captured, who during the investigation confessed to the crimes he committed with other servicemen of the Ukrainian forces, including rape, acts of sexual violence and murder," she added in a statement.

The investigation established that “from September 28 to November 24, 2024, Fabricenko and three of his fellow servicemen, carrying out the orders of their commander and his call sign “Kom”, killed 11 men and three women in the village of Russkoye Porechnoye. In addition, Ukrainian servicemen committed rape and sexual violence against eight women, who were then killed and the bodies of the 22 citizens (victims) were taken to the basements of private homes."
