Iran on Sunday unveiled a new ballistic missile with a range of 1,700 kilometers.
The move came in a visit by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to an exhibition held by the Ministry of Defense.
Tasnim News Agency reported that the new missile is 16 meters long and includes a warhead that is guided until the moment it hits the target.
Local media quoted Pezeshkian as saying during another visit to the Iranian Space Organization that developing Iran's defense capabilities and space technologies "is not for war and attack, but for deterrence."
