[02/ February/2025]
Sana'a-Saba:

The Customs Authority began today a training program targeting customs brokers and representatives of commercial companies to introduce the Yemeni single window system for customs clearance, within the framework of completing the launch of the system, which has become available to all beneficiaries after it was limited to government agencies.

The program aims to strengthen partnerships with the private sector and move to a fully electronic work environment within two months, as it includes ten training courses targeting 400 participants and addressing the legal framework, system components, operational procedures, document preparation, technical support, evaluation, and follow-up.

The head of the authority, Eng. Adel Margham stressed that this digital transformation comes in the implementation of the directives of the political leadership and the government of change and construction, pointing to future projects such as the introduction of declarations and prior permits to simplify customs procedures.

He also stressed the importance of the interaction of traders and customs brokers for the success of the electronic transition process, especially since the system contributes to speeding up procedures, reducing costs, and enhancing transparency through a unified platform instead of dealing with multiple parties.
