The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning reported that the country is affected by a cold air mass, expecting a continued decrease in temperatures during the coming hours in most mountainous and desert governorates.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that it expects very cold weather during the night and early morning in the governorates of Al-Bayda, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran and Sa'dah and the highlands of Ibb with the possibility of frost forming in limited parts of them.
While the weather will be cold in the desert areas and the highlands of Al-Dhale'e, Lahj and Abyan, as well as southern Marib, western Al-Jawf and the highlands of Shabwa, Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra, while it will be relatively cold in the highlands of Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah and Taiz.
The center explained that the lowest temperatures recorded in some meteorological stations this morning were as follows: Dhamar: 2, Sana'a: 3.0, Amran: 3, Ibb - As-Sadah: 7, Al-Bayda: 07.8, Sayoun: 09.6, Al-Mahwit: 10.0 degrees Celsius.
It warned citizens in the highlands, interior plateaus and deserts of cold and very cold weather during the night and early morning hours.
The center advised farmers to take the necessary measures to protect crops, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry farmers to protect them from the effects of severe cold.
