Moscow - Saba:
Scientists at the Russian University of Southwest Ural have invented a robot to work in the mineral processing sector, which can operate at temperatures above 1000 degrees Celsius.
Russian news agencies quoted the university's media office today, Monday, as saying: This robot is intended to take samples from smelting furnaces.
A source at the university reported that "the laboratory team of the Department of Mechanics, Mechatronics and Robotics at the University of Southwest Ural, headed by Professor Sergey Yatson, was able to create a unique robotic complex to take samples of mixtures for institutions working in the field of mineral processing."
According to the source, the researchers designed the complex so that it can operate autonomously at temperatures above 1000 degrees Celsius.
