The General Secretariat of the Yemeni Writers and Authors Union mourned the poet, writer and linguistic corrector Abdul-Ilah Al-Qudsi, who passed away in Sana'a at the age of seventy.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the General Secretariat expressed the enormity of the loss suffered by the Yemeni cultural scene with the passing of Abdul-Ilah Al-Qudsi, who had a different poetic experience dating back to the eighties generation, and was one of the most prominent people who accompanied the experience of the great Yemeni poet Abdullah Al-Bardouni for three decades.
It noted the special nature of the deceased in linguistic correction for a number of private newspapers, and in this experience he was one of the distinguished people who left a clear mark in serving the Arabic language.
The statement expressed sincere condolences to his family, colleagues and loved ones, asking God Almighty to bestow His mercy and forgiveness on the deceased, and to inspire his family and relatives with patience and solace. “To God we belong and to Him we shall return.”
