Sana'a - Saba:
Since the first day of the Zionist aggression - American on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023 AD, the Zionist entity mistakenly believed that its comprehensive aggression would enable it to impose the “next day” agenda on the Gaza Strip away from Hamas and the Palestinian resistance factions at a time when colonial projects are collapsing under the painful blows of the resistance determined to make its next day with its own hands, and no one else’s.
In the Zionist political discourse, regarding the “ day after” the war, the discussion revolved around who would run the Strip, the future of the resistance’s weapons and military structure, the relationship of the occupying entity with the Gaza Strip, which includes the possibility of imposing a new occupation or returning to settlement; and finally, about reconstruction, its financing and conditions, which the Zionist entity sought to transform into the strongest file in its hands through unprecedented destruction in its scope.
Despite the escalation of calls from the extreme Zionist right, such as Bezalel , Smotrich And Itamar Ben Gvir, to return settlements to Gaza, the strong presence of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, as revealed since the start of the implementation of the first phase of the prisoner exchange agreement, the return of more than 700 thousand Palestinians to the northern part of the destroyed Strip, the Palestinians’ adherence to their land, and the gradual return of Hamas as a quasi-exclusive authority over the Strip complicates the scene for the Zionist entity and confirms that the Palestinian resistance and its various factions are the ones who determine the next day.
Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Mardawi had previously stated that the movement had formed a committee to administer the government in the Gaza Strip the day after the war, in agreement with most Palestinian factions. However, “we clashed with the position of the Fatah movement, but we will continue to search for a national option that is consistent with the requirements of the current moment.”
Al-Mardawi explained that "Hamas still adheres to the goals and objectives for which it was formed, which are related to the freedom and independence of the Palestinian people and the defeat and expulsion of the occupation." He stressed that "this does not mean that the tools for achieving these goals are rigid, as they may change in form and titles."
After the epic flood that changed the shape, priorities and alliances of international politics in the Middle East, it seems that Hamas will head towards an internal flood, to heal the wounds of the Palestinian people, provide them relief and rebuild politics by closing ranks and uniting on the basis of completing the project based on national foundations related to Palestinian rights and constants.
After that, we will search for mechanisms to manage the Gaza Strip in a way that opens the door to all political and societal forces, so that we can reflect the will of this people, as they were united in the field and in confronting the occupation, with patience and steadfastness, so that they will be united in the position, vision and political framework that will govern and manage the Gaza Strip later.
The Zionist enemy claims that Hamas remaining in power will justify the continuation of the war, but in order for Hamas to pull the rug out from under it, the movement must provide a political narrative that contributes to gathering the largest number of Arab, regional and international countries to support its vision and political position and to search for a national option that is consistent with the requirements of the moment.
Hamas will remain committed to the goals and objectives for which it was formed, which are related to the freedom and independence of the Palestinian people and the defeat and expulsion of the occupation. The scenes witnessed by the entire world, whether through the steadfastness and perseverance in the Gaza Strip and the bravery and creativity in the resistance, or the scenes that appeared during the handover of female soldiers and the release of female prisoners, all confirm that the amount of support, backing and belief in Hamas’ position and project is very large.
Hamas affirms that it will do what is required of it towards the Palestinian people through material, psychological and moral reconstruction, and harnessing all resources for the Palestinians, especially material and human resources in the West Bank and elsewhere, to direct them towards achieving these goals.
Anyone who follows the course of the Hamas movement and its history will infer that Palestinian unity is a goal and a demand of the movement. The movement has been keen to present it at all stages. It supports any form of political unity to manage political and social affairs in the Gaza Strip with the aim of reconstruction and healing the wounds of the Palestinian people. Meanwhile, Hamas affirms that its doors are open to accommodate any demand that allows for complete and comprehensive management of Gaza. It also guarantees the necessity of unity of the Palestinian political system and Palestinian geography, and this is a guarantee for the partnership of all Palestinian nationalists.
Therefore, Hamas is with a Palestinian unity and consensus government based on the Palestinian Basic Law, and embodies the aspiration that the struggling Palestinian people seek to achieve under the political circumstances and international balance of power. The Zionist enemy has committed crimes at all stages and in all the decades in which it occupied the land of Palestine, such as in 1948, in Deir Yassin, in Kafr Qasim, in Dhahiriya, in Sabra and Shatila, in the Gaza wars, and in the wars it fought with the Arab countries, and in all of them it was not bound by morals or limitations.
In short, the Zionist enemy tried to prevent this resistance from achieving its goals of freedom and independence, but the steadfastness and perseverance of the Palestinian people confirmed their connection to their goals and homeland and their insistence on obtaining their rights. This is related to the nature of the enemy and its readiness to go far in killing and committing crimes, but there is no freedom without sacrifice and no sacrifice except in the context of a liberation process and path as the Palestinian people are currently undertaking, which will be crowned with freedom and victory.
