[05/ February/2025]

Gaza - Saba:
The Supreme Judicial Council in the Gaza Strip announced the imminent gradual resumption of judicial work, with the aim of consolidating civil peace and community security and preserving the rights of the Palestinian people and defending their freedoms.

The council stressed in a statement last night the necessity of enforcing the law to achieve justice consistent with the relevant Palestinian laws in force.

It said that it had issued instructions to judges to activate settlement and trial judiciary to resolve the dispute, through reconciliation or arbitration, in an effort to strengthen the community.. Noting that in light of the current circumstances, the policy of rapid settlement of disputes will be implemented.

With American support, the Zionist enemy committed genocide in Gaza between October 7, 2023 and January 19, 2025, leaving more than 159,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.

On January 19, a ceasefire in Gaza came into effect, and its first phase will last for 42 days, during which negotiations will begin to begin a second and then a third phase, mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States of America.
