Washington - Saba:
US authorities announced today, Saturday, the discovery of a plane matching the description of a plane that went missing in Alaska on its way to the city of Nome with ten people on board, noting that all those on board were killed.

Cameron Snell, a spokesman for the US Coast Guard, said that rescue crews were unable to fully open the plane.

The single-engine turboprop plane, belonging to the company "Bering Air", was heading from Unalakleet to the city of Nome on Thursday afternoon with nine passengers and a pilot on board when it disappeared, according to the Alaska Department of Public Safety.

David Olson, operations manager at "Bering Air", said that the plane, a "Cessna Caravan", left Unalakleet at 02:37 pm on Thursday, and officials lost contact with it less than an hour later.
