Washington - Saba:
The American newspaper "Bloomberg" confirmed that an American aircraft carrier left the Red Sea, heading to Europe, weeks after the Yemeni armed forces announced that they would stop attacking ships in the region.
The US Navy said in a statement last night: The aircraft carrier "Harry S. Truman", and the fighter jets it carries, arrived in Greece, two months after combat operations in the Red Sea region.
This step comes at a time when the shipping industry is waiting for signs that ship traffic in the Red Sea will begin to return to normal, after more than a year of turmoil.
Although a small group of American and British ships have sailed through the waterway, since Sanaa announced the cessation of its attacks, the majority of ships continue to sail thousands of miles around Africa instead.
