Sana'a - Saba:

The fourth and final phase of the men's basketball first division league for the 2024-2025 season, organized by the Yemen Basketball Association, will start tomorrow, Sunday, with the participation of eight teams competing for the title.

The matches of this stage will be held in the closed sports hall in the city of Seiyun in Hadramawt Governorate, after Sana'a, Seiyun and Aden hosted the previous stages, and will continue until February 16, when the league champion will be crowned.

The final phase is witnessing strong competition both for the top spot and to avoid relegation, especially after the teams strengthened their ranks with African and Palestinian professional players registered as locals in support of the Palestinian cause.

Shaab Hadramawt currently leads the standings with 18 points from 9 games without any defeat, followed by Al-Mina with 17 points, and Sana'a Unit with 14 points.

The competition opens on Sunday with two matches, where lightning Tarim meets seventh in the standings with 11 points with Ahli Sana'a sixth with the same balance of points, while Sana'a unit comes third in the standings with 14 points, visiting Seiyun at the bottom of the standings with 10 points.

The next day, four matches will be held, with Al-Barq Tarim facing Shamsan, Al-Mina visiting Seiyun, Shaab Hadramawt facing Ahli Sana'a, and Wahda Sana'a playing against Al-Hilal.

This stage is crucial in determining the champion and teams that will survive relegation, amid expectations of tough confrontations and fierce competition until the final whistle.
