New York - Saba:
The United Nations confirmed today, Monday, that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is deteriorating at an unprecedented rate and the destruction is widespread.
The spokeswoman for the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs in Gaza reported that more than 500,000 people have returned to northern Gaza despite the lack of basic services, and that 2.5 million people are in dire need of urgent humanitarian assistance.
She stressed that efforts are continuing to support the residents of the Strip in facing the harsh winter.
She stressed that the top priority now is to continue the ceasefire and ensure the flow of aid to the affected areas.
Between October 7, 2023 and January 19, 2025, Israel committed genocide in Gaza, leaving more than 159,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing, and one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
