Ramallah - Saba:
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) warned on Tuesday of the forced displacement operations launched by the Zionist enemy against Palestinians in camps in the northern West Bank, expressing its concern about the escalation of these violations.
In a statement, UNRWA pointed out that "this process, which lasted for about three weeks, started in Jenin camp and extended to Tulkarm, Nur Shams , al-Fara'a refugee camps, and led to the displacement of 40,000 Palestinian refugees."
The UN agency reported that more than 60 percent of displacements in 2024 were the result of operations by Zionist enemy forces, with no judicial orders recorded.
"Forced displacement from the occupied West Bank is the result of an increasingly dangerous and coercive environment," it emphasized. "The use of air strikes, armored bulldozers, explosions and sophisticated weapons by enemy forces has become commonplace and is an extension of the war in Gaza.
UNRWA called for the protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure at all times, noting that "the Jenin refugee camp is now empty, evoking memories of the second intifada. It is planned by Israel to repeat this scene in other camps.
