The head of the Planning and Development Committee of the Local Council in Sanaa city, Sharaf Al-Hadi, accompanied by Assistant Undersecretary Naji Al-Qawsi and Director of Al-Thawra district Aqeel Al-Saqqaf, was briefed on the implementation of a project to install a solar energy system at Halima Al-Saadia School for Girls in Al-Thawra District, at $ 60,000, with the support of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
The project includes the supply and installation of a 10 kW solar system, in addition to the establishment of an independent control room, with the aim of providing a sustainable energy source that helps operate teaching aids and improve the learning environment for students. The officials praised the importance of these projects in supporting the educational process and overcoming challenges.
