The Faculty of Medicine at Sana'a University organized a symposium entitled "Light of Hope: Medical Education in the Face of Aggression and Wars", to discuss the impact of the blockade and aggression on the health sector in Yemen.

The Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Khaled Al-Khamisi, pointed out the great damage inflicted on the medical sector and the suffering faced by patients due to the blockade. He also stressed the importance of informing international activists about the extent of the humanitarian situation and Yemeni steadfastness, and enhancing medical cooperation.

Dr. Pablo Allende, President of the Salvador Allende Foundation in Latin America, and Dr. Roberto Bermudez, President of the Raul Pellegrin Foundation in Chile, participated in the symposium, where they expressed their solidarity with Yemen and expressed their concern about the worsening health crises, especially the high rates of malnutrition and chronic diseases.

The two guests also visited the College of Medicine departments, and viewed the simulation labs and academic programs, praising the infrastructure and educational level provided by the college despite the challenges.
