The Lebanese army condemned the Zionist enemy's persistence in evading its commitments to the ceasefire agreement and continuing to violate Lebanese sovereignty.
This came in a statement issued by the Lebanese army on Wednesday, in its first comment on the Zionist enemy's continued occupation of five border points in southern Lebanon, despite the expiry of the withdrawal deadline on February 18.
The army said in its statement that "its military units are completing their deployment in all southern border towns in coordination with the five-member committee supervising the ceasefire agreement and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) after the Zionist enemy withdrew from them."
It added that the Zionist enemy army "is still stationed at several border points (inside Lebanese territory), persisting in evading its commitments, and violating Lebanese sovereignty through continuous attacks on the security of Lebanon and its citizens."
He pointed out that "the enemy did not commit to a complete withdrawal from the occupied Lebanese territories, in accordance with international charters and legitimacy and United Nations resolutions, most notably Resolution 1701."
