Beijing – Sabaa:
The Chinese military announced on Friday that it intercepted three Filipino aircraft that entered its airspace near the Chinese "Nansha Qiongdiao" Islands in the South China Sea.
According to Xinhua News Agency, spokesperson Tian Jion Li of the Southern Theater Command stated that the command tracked and warned two aircraft of the "C-208" model and one of the "N-22" model, belonging to the Philippines, which were detected in the airspace near the Chinese Nansha Qiongdiao Islands.
He emphasized that Chinese forces will always remain on maximum alert to defend national sovereignty and maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea.
It is noteworthy that China continuously asserts its nearly complete sovereignty over the South China Sea, while other coastal countries, including the Philippines, call for freedom of navigation in the area.
