Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, amid criticism from the administration of US President Donald Trump, has started a race to reach out to European leaders, calling five people in a single day.
According to the Russian news agency Sputnik, Zelenskyy's Telegram channel published five messages on Friday about his phone conversations with European leaders. In particular, Zelenskyy called Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, Polish President Andrzej Duda, Czech President Petr Pavel, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, and Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Gollub.
According to Zelenskyy's Telegram channel, the conversations focused on expressing gratitude to the Europeans for their support, discussing future supplies, and working on "joint security guarantees."
US President Donald Trump on Wednesday made several critical statements about Zelensky on his social network Truth Social, calling him, in particular, an "unelected dictator" and accusing the head of the Kiev regime of wanting to continue the conflict with Russia for financial gain. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Friday that Trump expresses his dissatisfaction with Zelensky, and explained that this reaction is justified in some cases.
