"Palestinian Statistics ": Trade balance recorded 33% increase in value of deficit during December

The results of the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics' monitored trade survey, which were published today, Sunday, showed that the value of the deficit in the Palestinian trade balance, which represents the difference between exports and imports, amounted to 434.4 million US dollars, an increase of 33% during last December, compared to the same month in 2023.

According to the results of the survey, exports increased during December 2024 by 27%, compared to December 2023, as their value amounted to 164.2 million US dollars.

Exports to "Israel" increased during the monitored month by 35%, compared to its counterpart in 2023, and exports to "Israel" constituted 84% of the total value of exports, while exports to the rest of the world decreased by 2%.

Imports also increased by 31%, as their value amounted to 598.6 million US dollars.

Imports from Israel increased by 17% compared to December 2023, and imports from Israel accounted for 55% of the total value of imports for December 2024. Imports from the rest of the world also increased by 55% compared to December 2023.
