The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Sunday, that "Russian forces succeeded in eliminating about 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers" in the past 24 hours, according to the "RIA Novosti" agency.
In its daily report, the ministry confirmed that units of the "Sever" forces grouping (north) clashed with formations of the Ukrainian mechanized infantry brigade and the Ukrainian territorial defense brigade in several areas, resulting in the killing of about 30 Ukrainian soldiers.
As for the "Zapad" forces grouping (west), it was able to take more effective strategic positions, recording losses exceeding 190 soldiers in the ranks of the Ukrainian army. Meanwhile, the "Yug" forces (south) succeeded in controlling the town of Ulakly in the Donetsk People's Republic, while the Ukrainian army suffered heavy losses exceeding 165 soldiers, in addition to destroying a number of military equipment.
Regarding the "Dnieper" group, it was able to eliminate 85 Ukrainian soldiers, and the air defense systems shot down 4 French-made guided bombs and an American HIMARS missile, in addition to destroying 73 enemy drones.
On the other hand, the Ukrainian Air Force announced a "record" attack on Saturday-Sunday, as it monitored 267 Russian drones in the skies of Ukraine, the largest number since the beginning of the Russian operation on February 24, 2022. The Ukrainian Defense announced that the air defenses "were able to intercept 138 of them, while 119 aircraft were used for camouflage purposes without causing damage," according to it.
The Russian Defense announced yesterday, Saturday, that its forces had taken control of the town of Novoliubovka in Luhansk and achieved significant field progress on several axes, recording significant losses among the Ukrainian forces and destroying strategic military equipment.
