Ramallah - Saba:
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on the UN Commission of Inquiry emanating from the Human Rights Council to investigate crimes of executing detainees in Israeli occupation prisons, pointing to flagrant violations of the Geneva Conventions.
The ministry expressed its deep concern about the increasing number of martyrs among Palestinian detainees, especially in the Gaza Strip, where the number of martyrs has reached 59 since the beginning of the war.
The ministry also stressed the escalation of brutal practices and deadly methods of torture against detainees, calling on international humanitarian and legal organizations to intervene immediately to protect them.
