Gaza - Saba:
The Islamic Resistance Movement late on Monday stated that media statements attributed to the head of the Movement's international relations office, Musa Abu Marzouq, are incorrect and were taken out of context.
The interview with Abu Marzouq "with the New York Times" was conducted several days ago, and "the statements that were published did not reflect the full content of the answers, and were taken out of context, in a way that does not serve the true meaning of the content presented in the interview," Hamas said in a statement.
"Dr. Abu Marzouq confirmed that the blessed October 7 operation is an expression of the Palestinian people's right to resistance and their rejection of the siege, occupation and settlement."
The statement indicated that the movement's official said the criminal occupier is behind the war crimes and genocide committed against the people in the Gaza Strip, which constitute a violation of international laws and were shocking to the entire world.
According to the statement, the leader Abu Marzouq "affirmed the movement's commitment to its firm positions and the right of our people to resist until the occupation is removed from all of our land, and until liberation and return, in all forms of resistance, especially armed resistance."
Hamas Movement stated that Abu Marzouq, during his interview with the "New York Times", said "the resistance weapon belongs to our people, and its goal is to protect our people and our sanctities, and it is not permissible to relinquish it or give it up as long as there is an occupation of our land."
