The Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Telecommunications Corporation (GTC), Engineer Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mahdi, along with the Secretary General of the Local Council in Ibb province, Amin Ali Al-Warafi, inaugurated on Tuesday the VIP sales and service lounge in Ibb city.
Al-Mahdi and Al-Warafi, along with Yemen Mobile Chairman Dr. Essam Al-Hamli, listened to an explanation from the Director General of the Telecommunications Corporation's branch in Ibb province, Muhyiddin Al-Mansouri, about the latest equipment provided to the lounge to provide all services to VIP customers.
At the inauguration, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology explained that his visit to Ibb aims to follow up on the progress of the implementation of a number of telecommunications projects related to the expansion of telecommunications services in the province center and districts. He stressed the ministry's keenness to provide and deliver all telecommunications services in the province, given the population density it witnesses.
He then inspected the work progress on the construction of Yemen Mobile's main service center in Ibb city.
During the visit, Al-Mahdi urged those in charge of implementing the project to adhere to the technical specifications and the specified time program for implementation. He pointed out the importance of the project in facilitating service to citizens.
