Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that trade exchange between his country and the African continent witnessed a growth of 10% during the past year 2024.
The Russian President's statement came during talks he held in the Kremlin today, Wednesday, with the President of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embalo, who arrived in Russia on an official visit, according to the Russia Today website.
Putin said during the talks: "Last year, trade exchange between Russia and the African continent continued to grow, recording a 10% increase."
The Russian President praised his country's relations with Guinea-Bissau.
He added that "relations between Russia and Guinea-Bissau are developing successfully on the basis of mutual respect and growing trust," noting that this year marks the 52nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
