The rehabilitation project of the health center building in the Hasn Qadeed area was opened on Thursday in Mayfa'a Ans District in Dhamar Governorate, at a cost of 22 thousand dollars with support from UNICEF, and implemented by the branch of the General Authority for Rural Water Projects.
During the opening, the Director of the Health Sector in the Governorate, Dr. Tariq Al-Khaiwani, appreciated the efforts of the Rural Water Projects Authority branch in completing the project, stressing the sector's keenness to provide the center with its needs of medicines, equipment, medical supplies and qualified personnel.
For his part, the Director of the Authority's branch, Eng. Mohammed Al-Qawsi, explained that these works come within the framework of the water, sanitation and hygiene services rehabilitation project, funded by UNICEF, targeting 20 health facilities in various districts of the governorate.
The Director of the district, Abdullah Al-Jarashi, praised the efforts of all parties that sought to complete and operate the center, which provides its services to about 19,000 people in the lower Al-Jarsha district and its surroundings.
The opening was attended by the Deputy Director of the Rural Water Projects Authority branch, Mujahid Al-Amdi, and a number of health officials.
