Workshop concludes on optimizing importance mineral resources exploitation

Hajjah - Saba:
The branch of the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority in Hajjah province concluded on Wednesday a training workshop on the importance of optimizing the exploitation of mineral resources and the damage of illegal mining to society and the economy.

The three-day workshop aimed to provide 300 trainees working in the mineral resources sector in the districts of Bani Qais and Kaidana with knowledge and information related to the importance of mineral wealth, ways to preserve , optimize it, the harms of random mining and the negative consequences of this on mineral wealth and society in general.

At the conclusion of the workshop, which was attended by the deputy head of the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority, Bakil Ressam, the Authority's advisor, Hussein Al-Namir, emphasized the importance of informing workers in the mineral resources sector about the harmful effects of chemicals and the need to avoid using them.

The Director of the Authority's branch in the province, Mohammed Al-Qadami, stressed the keenness of the Authority's leadership to organize these programs because of their tangible role in preserving , protecting mineral resources , spreading awareness of the need to use safety and security tools during exploration.

He reviewed the positives of working in accordance with the vision of the state and its leadership to minimize the risks of illegal mining and provide job opportunities that contribute to strengthening the national economy.

In turn, the director of Bani Qais Directorate, Mohammed Al-Shahari, praised the efforts exerted in organizing the mining mechanism, limiting random mining and implementing programs to improve the level of performance in this aspect.
