Abdullatif Al-Omari, Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat for Local Authority Affairs, inaugurated the charitable kitchen in the Al-Buniya neighborhood of Tahrir District, which is being implemented for the eighth consecutive year through a community initiative and the contribution of philanthropists.
Al-Omari, the director of the directorate, Naji Al-Shayani, and the directorate's public mobilization official, Abdullatif Al-Wali, listened to an explanation from the kitchen's official, Abdulrahman Al-Baily, about the kitchen's role in providing basic food for 2,000 needy families in the directorate, by providing dinner meals to these families on a daily basis throughout the month of Ramadan.
In a related context, Al-Wahda Directorate Director Sami Hamid inaugurated the work of the charity kitchen organized by the Social Affairs Office in the directorate.
During the inauguration, Hamid, along with a number of the directorate's leaders, listened to an explanation from the director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office in the directorate, Shahna Al-Nuami, about the charity kitchen work , which aims to distribute 300 meals to poor and needy families in the directorate.
