Spain's Marc Marquez, a Ducati rider, won the Thailand Grand Prix for the MotoGP category, after winning the opening race of the World Motorcycle Championship today, Sunday.
Marquez won first place at the expense of his younger brother Alex, a Ducati Gresini rider who came in second, followed by Italy's Francesco Bagnaia, a Ducati rider, in third place.
Marc Marquez also won the sprint race held yesterday to collect the full mark with 37 points at the start of the longest season in the history of the World Championship, with 22 races held until the end of next November.
