Moscow-Saba:
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced today, Tuesday, that halting US military aid to Ukraine may push Kiev regime towards peace process.

Sputnik Agency quoted Peskov as saying in press statements: "If this is true, this is a decision that could actually push Kiev regime towards peace process."

Peskov noted that Ukraine received the largest part of military aid from the United States of America.
He said: "Of course, the most significant volume (of military aid to Ukraine) still comes from the United States of America and through US channels."

Peskov stressed today, Tuesday, that relations between Russia and the United States need to be freed from the negative burden of sanctions.

Peskov, in response to a question about whether there were any consultations between representatives of Russia and the United States on sanctions and how the Kremlin assesses the possibility of easing them, said: "Of course, if we talk about normalizing bilateral relations, they need to be freed from this negative burden of so-called sanctions."

He added: "Perhaps it is too early to talk about anything, we have not heard any official statements, but in any case, our position on sanctions is well known, we consider them illegal."

US media reported on Tuesday that President Donald Trump ordered the suspension of military aid to Ukraine after a dispute with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky last week in the White House.

Bloomberg reported: "(US) President Donald Trump ordered the suspension of all military aid to Ukraine, increasing pressure on Volodymyr Zelensky just days after the dispute between them erupted in the Oval Office."
