General Authority for Endowments and the General Authority for Zakat in Bayda province on Thursday held a cultural event to mark the anniversary of the passing of Sheikh Majd al-Din al-Muayyadi, under the theme "Imam Majd Al-Din, a Journey of Knowledge and Jihad."
The event, attended by Haider al-Gharib, Director of the Zakat Authority Office, and Mohammed al-Saqqaf, member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, highlighted the significance of commemorating Sheikh al-Muayyadi as a religious and educational figure.
Al-Saqqaf emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from Sheikh Al-Muayyadi's life, his faith-based positions, and his dedication to spreading beneficial knowledge.
Head of the Grievances Authority branch Muhammad al-Hababi described Sheikh al-Muayyadi as a national symbol who followed the true Muhammadan path and enlightened people with religious knowledge.
Director of the Media and Awareness Department at the Zakat Authority Office Qasim al-Wajeeh discussed Sheikh al-Muayyadi's approach, thought, knowledge, and moral character.
The event, which included executive leaders, academics, mobilization officials, educational leaders, and social figures, featured a presentation on Sheikh al-Muayyadi's biography and a commemorative poem.
