The head of the Ukrainian President's office, Andriy Yermak, held a meeting with the National Security Advisor to British Prime Minister Jonathan Powell in the capital, Kyiv, on Sunday, where they discussed the first steps towards achieving a just and lasting peace, as well as the conditions for a possible ceasefire and maintaining sanctions on Russia.
The Ukrainian news agency "Ukrinform" quoted the presidency's statement as saying that the meeting focused on the initial steps proposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the European Council in Brussels, as these steps include stopping attacks on energy and civilian infrastructure, as well as naval and air military operations, and releasing prisoners.
