Info Office: Occupier deprived Gaza from electricity over 17 months
[10/ March/2025]
Gaza - Saba:

The government media office in Gaza stated that the enemy has completely cut off electricity to the Gaza Strip since October 2023, with the beginning of the war of extermination it launched against the Strip, which exacerbated the daily suffering and created an unprecedented humanitarian disaster that affected hospitals, health facilities, wells, water desalination plants and sewage treatment plants.

The office said in a statement last night that the enemy continues the crime of extermination by cutting off electricity to the southern desalination plant and passing through the transmission line No. F11, which is the only station currently supplied with electricity by the enemy, hours after the so-called Zionist Minister of Energy announced the prevention of supplying electricity to the Gaza Strip.

The office indicated that this decision comes at a time when the enemy continues the crime of the siege on the Gaza Strip, by preventing the entry of aid and humanitarian supplies, which increases the suffering of the people and prevents them from the water that this station used to supply them with, and is considered a collective punishment and a clear war crime.

It stated that these decisions reflect the criminal mentality that dominates the enemy, as it manipulates the fate of 2.4 million people, imposing a complete siege on them and depriving them of food, water, medicine and electricity, after having used the killing, destruction and devastation machine on them for more than 15 months, without regard for human rights or international humanitarian law.

The office called on the international community and international organizations to intervene urgently to stop the crime of the siege and pressure to ensure the entry of all the needs of the Gaza Strip, and to find sustainable solutions to the electricity crisis, as securing a stable source of energy has become an urgent necessity to preserve the lives of citizens and ensure the continuation of basic services, which have deteriorated due to the crimes of the enemy.
