Damascus - Saba:
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported that 698 people were killed in Syria on March 9th, attributing a large portion of the deaths to alleged mass executions by "Takfiri groups."
According to the Observatory, numerous civilians were executed by firing squad in the Latakia and Tartous governorates by elements of "defense and internal security" forces. The report detailed specific locations and numbers of victims, indicating widespread "field executions."
In addition to the alleged executions, the report documented intense clashes between armed groups and security forces in the Latakia and Jableh countryside, resulting in significant casualties on both sides. Civilian deaths were also attributed to landmine explosions and remnants of war in Hama, Daraa, and Homs governorates.
The report highlights the ongoing violence and instability in Syria, with civilians bearing the brunt of the conflict.
