The daily death toll from field executions carried out by al-Julani's gangs in the Syrian coastal areas and mountains, particularly against members of the Alawite sect, has been rising.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed on Tuesday that the number of civilian casualties continues to rise against the backdrop of the bloody events witnessed in the Syrian coastal areas and the liquidation operations on a sectarian and regional basis, which have claimed the lives of hundreds of civilians, including women and children.
Members of the Defense Security Forces and their allied forces (controlled by takfiri groups) have committed war crimes and human rights violations, amid the absence of legal deterrence.
The Observatory stated that the death toll continues to rise since the entry of militants to support the Defense Security Forces (controlled by takfiri groups) following an attack by local gunmen. The total number of civilian casualties has reached 1,225 as of Tuesday.
On Tuesday, March 11, the Syrian Observatory documented the killing of 132 civilians from the Alawite sect. The distribution of victims on Tuesday was as follows: Tartus: 72, Latakia: 60.
According to the Observatory, the number of massacres on the Syrian coast and mountains has reached 47 since the escalation sparked by attacks by Alawite militants on March 6 against security and defense personnel, which led to the launch of killings, field executions, and ethnic cleansing operations.
The Observatory noted that the civilian casualties, by governorate, were: 658 in Latakia; 384 in Tartous; 171 in Hama; and 12 in Homs.
The Observatory documented the deaths of 1,043 citizens in the Latakia and Tartous governorates as a result of liquidation operations, including citizens from non-Alawite sects. Latakia governorate ranked first, followed by Tartous, Hama, and finally Homs.
He said, "These crimes come in the context of widespread retaliatory operations targeting members of the Alawite sect, amidst ongoing mass killings, burning of homes, and forced displacement, in the absence of any international intervention to halt these massacres."
He added, "The rapidly increasing human toll has been rising since the militants entered the city to support security and defense forces. The total number of martyrs has reached 1,225."
