The Huffington Post reported that 14 US representatives sent a letter to the Secretary of Homeland Security, calling for the immediate release of Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil.
The Columbia University Student Union in New York reported that agents of US President Donald Trump's administration arrested Mahmoud Khalil, a Palestinian graduate student who played a prominent role in pro-Palestine protests at the university.
The union said in a statement that agents from the US Department of Homeland Security arrested Khalil from his university residence on Saturday.
