Moscow - Saba:
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 21 Ukrainian drones over several regions last night.
Sputnik quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: "Last night, operational air defense systems destroyed 21 Ukrainian drones."
It added: "Twelve drones were destroyed over Bryansk Oblast, two over Kursk Oblast, one each over Kaluga Oblast and Crimea, and five over the Black Sea."
Ukrainian Armed Forces target Russian border areas in Crimea and the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, and Voronezh Oblasts with drones and missiles almost daily.
Russian forces, for their part, continue their special military operation, aiming to demilitarize Ukraine, eliminate threats to Russia's security, and protect civilians in the Donbas region.
