The European Union’s Foreign Policy Commissioner, Kaja Kallas, reaffirmed that all EU member states strongly reject any attempts to alter the demographic composition of Gaza, warning of its negative impact on the Middle East region.
According to SAND News Agency, Kallas welcomed the "Arab Plan" adopted by the Arab League for the reconstruction of Gaza, which was recently proposed by Egypt at the Cairo Summit. She emphasized that this plan presents a serious framework for discussing Gaza’s future and will be explored further with Arab partners.
Kallas also reiterated the EU’s commitment to a future Palestinian state, affirming that Gaza is an integral part of it, and pledged to work with the international community on the reconstruction of the Strip.
Furthermore, she stressed that humanitarian aid to Gaza must not be politicized or subjected to conditions, calling for the removal of all barriers preventing its delivery.
