Sana'a – SABA:
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Jamal Amer, met on Wednesday with Dr. Mujahid Ma’sar, Head of the Medical Council, along with several council members and the President of the Yemeni Doctors’ Syndicate.
During the meeting, Minister Amer was briefed on the obstacles imposed by the mercenary government against graduates of Yemeni medical colleges from areas outside occupation, particularly those seeking to pursue higher studies or work abroad.
The attendees discussed the Medical Council’s role as the supervisory body responsible for issuing medical practice licenses, conducting competency exams, protecting patients’ rights, and overseeing the performance of medical and healthcare professions.
Minister Amer affirmed that the Foreign Ministry would take all possible measures to halt the unilateral actions taken by the mercenary government, describing them as an unethical and unpatriotic exploitation of Yemeni citizens to serve the interests of the aggressor states. He emphasized that all options remain open to protect the interests of Yemenis.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ma’sar stated that the Medical Council operates independently under Law No. (28) of 2000 and continues to fulfill its duties professionally and autonomously.
